Abstract: National Steering Committee for the Reauthorization of Indian Health Care Improvement (IHCIA) Act, P.L. 94 -437 Preamble Draft 2 (review & comment only)

IHCIA, This is a revised draft, there are additional recommendations for additions and amendments to the definitions. Additionally, some blocks of definitions that are not used throughout the Act have been moved to Title II & VII where they more logically fit.

To implement the federal responsibility for the care and education of the Indian People by improving the services and facilities of Federal Indian Programs and encouraging maximum participation of Indians in such programs and for other purposes
