Abstract:
Introduction. Honorable Chairman and Committee Members, my name is Robert Hall. I am the president of the National Council of Urban Indian Health (NCUIH) and a member of the three affiliated tribes of North Dakota: Grosventre, Mandan and Hidatsi. I am also the Executive Director of the South Dakota Urban Indian Health Clinic. On behalf of NCUIH, I would like to express our appreciation for this opportunity to address the Committee on the reauthorization of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act (S. 212) and its impact on the urban Indian communities that have formed in many of America's cities.
