As a champion for health care or the underserved, I hope you will join me in opposing the President's proposed elimination of the national Urban Indian Health Program. While this particular budget item represents only about 1% of the Indian Health Services budget, the loss to the urban Indian men, women, children, and elders served could mean the difference between health and sickness, or worse, between life and death.
