Abstract:
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
American Indians experience per capita rates of violence at a rate twice of the U.S. population. Rates of violence in every group are higher among American Indians than that of all races. Nearly a third of all AI victims of violence are ages 18 and 24 This group of AI experienced the highest per capita rate of violence any racial group considered by age – about one violent crime for every 4 persons.
