Abstract:

This letter to the State Medicaid Director is one in a series of letters regarding American Indian & Alaskan Native Health policy issues, the Medicaid program, and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). This letter addresses the request of federally recognized tribes to more actively participate in the planning and development of Medicaid and SCHIP waiver proposals and waiver renewals.
