IHS National Budget Formulation Data Reports for Urban Indian Organizations Calendar Year 2021

Authors: IHS

Publication Year: 2023

Keywords: Patient Count, Tribes Served

Abstract: The budget formulation report is generated annually and submitted to the National Council of Urban Indian Health (NCUIH) to present at the National IHS Budget Formulation meeting. The report provides an annual set of standardized metrics that provide details, including aggregated total visits, aggregated total patients, visits/patients by Area, visit type, visits/patients by State, patient and visit count details and UIO contributor information.

The report definition is based on the calendar year, unduplicated number of clients, and total number of encounters (Ambulatory, Telecommunications, and Chart Reviews) by Tribal Membership. The report communicates to stakeholders the number of clients and encounters being provided by the UIOs to members of a specific tribe.
