Abstract:

On behalf of the National Congress of American Indian, the National Indian Health Board and the National Council of Urban Indian Health, we thank you for including the many amendments addressing the unique nature of Indian health care delivery into The Affordable Health Choices Act. Our organizations strive to advance the level and quality of health care that are offered to Indian people through services provided by the Indian Health Service, programs operated directly by Tribal Governments and Urban Indian health organizations. We greatly appreciate all of your hard work to address Indian Country’s need for national health care reform.
