Short Abstract:
Funding for the IHS Office of Urban Indian Health Programs (OUIHP) has been eliminated from the FY 2007 Presidents Budget request, including the Title V contracts and Title V 4-in-1 grants. Restoring the programs funding should be proactive and based on accurate and reliable data. The IHS has access to statistics on Indian people living in urban areas through the UCRR report, but the reports structure has affected accuracy of some of the statistics.
