June 4, 2007 – Denver, CO – The National Native American AIDS Prevention Center (NNAAPC), a national organization committed to addressing HIV/AIDS in American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities, announced today the appointment of its new Executive Director. Mr. Warren Jimenez was selected following an extensive national search. The appointment is effective July 9.

 

Abstract:

June 4, 2007 – Denver, CO – The National Native American AIDS Prevention Center (NNAAPC), a national organization committed to addressing HIV/AIDS in American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities, announced today the appointment of its new Executive Director. Mr. Warren Jimenez was selected following an extensive national search. The appointment is effective July 9.

Since January 2004, Jimenez has been the Senior Policy Director for Portland City Commissioner Sam Adams. In that capacity, he was responsible for policy development, community and media relations, and community partnerships and served as the Commissioner’s official liaison to the Native American and Latino communities.
