Short Abstract:

Oklahoma City Area is comprised of a large group of tribes steeped in rich cultural and traditional value systems, each distinct in its own way, and varying in size, culture and societal arrangement. It is unfortunate that although tribes have learned to co-exist and work together on a myriad of issues, the ever present disease burden and lack of adequate and equitable appropriations for healthcare remain formidable wounds for the Oklahoma City Area (OCA) I/T/U health care providers.
