Short Abstract:

Washington, D.C. - The Senate Interior Appropriations Subcommittee voted today to approve the restoration of funds for the Urban Indian Health Programs (UIHPs) in the FY 2007 Budget at the FY 2006 level. Programs under Title V of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act are one significant step closer to receiving funds to provide much needed health care services to Urban Native Americans.
